Once a year, the day of the summer festival.
Rikka, [your] junior, is killed in a car accident on the day of the summer festival.

It’s been three years since then.
As if to leave [your] feelings behind and move on, three years have passed.
今年も、夏がやって来ます。Once a year, the day of the summer festival.

[I’ve been looking forward to going to the summer festival with my senpai for a long, long time.]

I’ve been looking forward to it for a long, long time.

[I’ve only been back for one day.]

[Do you still love me?]

[Three years later, do you still think about me?]

Rikka came back to [you] for a day.
As if to recapture that day three years ago, the two of them go to a summer festival.
They eat a lot of delicious food, play shooting games, hug each other alone in an empty shrine, and enjoy sparklers.

It’s supposed to be fun. You should be happy. You should be happy.

Rikka, who is still stuck in the past three years, is bewildered by the sight of the grown-up you, and feels strongly that she is no longer in this world.

And then the fireworks show begins.
As the fireworks go off, Rikka confesses her feelings to [you].

This is the 14th work of Re:sound, a circle with the theme of [girls who are not confident in themselves].
This is a story about you and me, sweet like candy apples, and like cotton candy, disappearing after a mouthful. A one-day, ephemeral monologue.

≪POINT≫

There are eight chapters in total, with odd-numbered chapters consisting of normal narration and even-numbered chapters consisting of monologues (narratives – monologues). In order to give you an idea of what the atmosphere is like, I’ve placed scene 1 and scene 2 in the listening version. Also, the script for the monologue part is included. Listening to the monologue while reading it is another way to enjoy it. In order for you to concentrate on the monologue, we have included almost no sound effects.

-The sweet voice of Aino Mimori, who plays Ricca, fits the monologue very well. It’s very soothing and may make some people want to sleep. Please listen to it in a place where you can fall asleep, such as on your bedding or on the sofa.

-There is a scene where the heroine cries. Scene 7 is performed by Aino Mimori herself while really crying.

-Rikka is a child who is not good at talking. She thinks about a lot of things, though she doesn’t say them out loud. You may be able to hear her true feelings in the monologue part.

-The sweet scene is recorded with a binaural microphone. Rikka will spoil you a lot and a lot. The free talk is 4 minutes long for some reason.
