【Nantokado】Historical Narratives in the Buddhist Scriptures

This work is from the Chinese translation of the Buddhist scriptures contained in the [Taisho Shinshu Daizou Kyoukai].
This work is a collection of Chinese translations of Buddhist scriptures from the [Taisho Shinzan Daizang Sutra], with summaries and brief introductions.
(Because translating the whole thing as is would be redundant, repetitive, or simply rhetorical)
It covers the period from the beginning of the world to before the time of King Ashoka.
The focus is on the kings who were contemporaries of the Buddha.
These are probably religious and fanciful, but
It is likely that they are based on some kind of historical fact.
