【Asami Sekiya】From the Waveside

A girl named Yuna moves from the city to a rural seaside town for her parents’ reasons. There are no trendy coffee shops, not even a smartphone signal, a 20-minute bike ride to a convenience store, and a beautiful, quiet beach. It’s the complete opposite of the life she used to lead in the city. I complain about this to a local boy named Ryu, but instead of getting angry, he laughs at me. Yuna is so anxious to catch up with everyone when she returns to the city, that she decides to cross the line between a man and a woman with Ryu. This is the first time in one summer that I’ve experienced the thrill of being with you and me, and that’s all I need to climb the stairs to adulthood.
