Album “JAPAN" song introduction
1 Kimigayo
This is the song that is paired with Kamikaze. It’s just as intense. The war is over, but we still have to fight for our lives. I think that the intense pain that we feel in our hearts hasn’t really changed much even though the times have changed.
2. JAPAN
This is a song that all the members really like. Good luck, Japan. Giant wrote this song during the Tohoku earthquake, but I had a lot of feelings about it, so I sealed it away. But I thought I could play it honestly now. There’s also ○○○○○○. There are a lot of things I don’t like about it, but I love Japan. The flow from the guitar solo to the piano solo is also cool.
3 Land of Fire
Japan is on fire in a bad way right now. It’s a heavy song like KORN, but it sounds more like a prayer than a curse.
4 Japanese Shine
This is the sound of a psychopathic sociopath. I have manic-depressive tendencies due to epilepsy. I have a tendency to be manic-depressive due to epilepsy, but I’m on medication now so I’m not like that at all. But that’s why I know the feeling of going back and forth between mania and depression. I’ll leave it to the listener to decide whether the “two-phone" here is fiction or non-fiction.
5 Kagome
This is an arrangement of the nursery rhyme Kagome Kagome. I have an IQ of 127, and I have excellent language skills and intuition. I think the word “kagome" is “kagomeonna". I think Kagome is “Kagome," and I think “Back in front" is “Back boy. No, it’s just my imagination, but… That’s what we talked about while arranging this song. The combination of Miku’s voice and the piano is really nice. It gives me the chills.
6. Ulcer
This was one of the first songs I wrote when Megudez was first formed. ulcer means “stomach ulcer". Well, I’ve never actually had a stomach ulcer, but you know what they say about stomach cramps. But it’s a beautiful song. It was inspired by Iron Maiden’s “Plowler".
7 Seira of Passion
I really like all the songs on this album, but this one is my favorite. It has a guitar that sounds like Eric Clapton. The piano is also very beautiful. At first, I thought it was going to be a dark song, so I titled it “I love Seira," but when Sakurako added the piano, it added a little more positive power. So I changed the title to “Passionate Seira".
8. In my dreams without sorrow
It’s a hard, beautiful pop song like “Dokken". The chorus is thick and beautiful. The theme of the lyrics is “lost love. The theme of the song is “lost love," though lost love was a long time ago. But, there are times when you get serious about love. But I don’t want to talk about the lyrics. The moment Meg sang this song for the first time, everyone in the studio was terrified. It’s good! It’s human. She can say things that humans can’t shout with pure feelings anymore, but as a vocaloid, she can.
9 Evil Eye
This is another song that Giant wrote a long time ago. In the demo, Miku, Hatsune, and Buitu were singing in a high-pitched squeaky voice. Sakurako and Meg rearranged it, adjusting the key and so on. The song is beautiful, and the guitar solo is great. The melody line sounds like Randy Rhodes.
10 Knight Rider
This is a song about first love. No, I’ve had a pretty normal life, so it’s not like I haven’t had those experiences. I could write lyrics like that if I remembered. No, but I don’t want to. The song is kind of a punk song like John Sykes used to do. The chord progressions are punk, but I play the guitar really well. I worked hard on the B melody line. I worked hard on the B-melody line, and the wavering, mumbling bass gives the feeling of a girl who can’t be honest, right? The bass sings instead of the vocals, something like that. If you’re a kid who plays bass, this song is a must listen.
11 Ikenai Megu Sensei (Voice Drama)
Well, this is just the beginning. A light jab. It’s great when Meg and Sakurako do a serious “talk". It’s like they can really talk in Doremi Fasolacido. There was a more elaborate talk, but it would have been out of place on the album, so I decided to save it for next time.
12 Pigeon Poppers
I really didn’t think this would make it to the album. It’s mostly a joke that I arranged the nursery rhyme “Dove". Sakurako said, “If you want to explain composition to a DTMer, “Dove" is just the thing. Since I don’t have a chance to talk about it elsewhere, I’ll tell you here that I kept the “scale" of “Dove" and changed only the length and timing of the notes to give the song a completely different feel.
13 Motteke☆Virgin Road ver2
A retake of the song from the first album. Sakurako said she wasn’t satisfied with the mix of the first song. In the end, I re-recorded everything except the guitar. Well, I think I like this take better. The first half of the album was too depressing and dark. I wanted to make the second half brighter.
14 I want to eat sushi
I’m a fan of conveyor belt sushi. I like Sushiro, Kappa Sushi, and many other places. I don’t know what to say, but kaiten-zushi is the universe. In fact, it needs to rotate. If you listen to this song, I think you’ll understand that.
15 Night Wind
Enka. At first, I thought the melody was a little too dark, but when Miku sang it, it turned out cute. The theme of the song is “Seishin" (adultery) on a long autumn night. Many enka songs have a languid rhythm, but I’m the bass player in this song. Our enka has a tight, black music-like rhythm. I think people who don’t usually listen to enka will also enjoy listening to it.
16 Heavenly (instrumental)
This is the theme song for Megudez, and I often use it as background music. It’s a little exotic, isn’t it? Megudez often writes songs with the theme of [sex]. When I start thinking about what makes a good sex sound, there’s no amount of time I can spare. I get into the philosophical realm. This song is one of the results of my pursuit of “erotic sounds".
17 Post Truth(instrumental)
A fusion like Cassiopeia. I think there are more and more opportunities to hear instrumental music in games nowadays. Most of those songs are written by keyboardists, so the rhythm is flat. I’m a bass player, so I like songs that have more flavor in the rhythm. I think this song has a nice [bass drum singing] feel to it.
18 kamikaze
A fast song with intense two-bass like X JAPAN. It’s buzzing like a fighter jet. But it’s very melodic. The piano and the distortion guitar are fighting each other. The theme of the lyrics is war.
