A land where ayakashi gather to escape as fear is transforming and they are no longer feared by anyone and are forgotten and ready to disappear.

A land where Ayakashi gather to escape, where they are no longer feared by anyone, where they are forgotten, where they are about to disappear… A land where Ayakashi stare at and report on the migrants, the travelers, and those returning to Monobeno from the depths of the forest on the border of the village, and where they themselves become walls, blocking the intruders.

His name is the bobcat.
In the past, the bobcat could not take human form, could not speak human language, and could only report back to you in a meow.

But even so, the life of a mountain cat is almost the same.
The only path that leads to the village from the depths of the forest, except when interacting with a very few close ayakashi and humans.
The only way to keep an eye on the road.

In the midst of all this, a traveler – you – wanders off the road and deep into the forest.

The bobcat who rescued you from the wounded wanderer interrogates you, and as he does so, he becomes a member of the expedition team, just you and the bobcat.

Deep in the forest of Monobeno, filled with the rich sounds of nature, in a hot spring hidden there.
