That’s what the calendar says, but in this rural town, the snow was about to melt for a little while longer.

The arrival of full-blown spring is still far away.

The man had made a reservation at an inn.

The voice I heard on the phone was a voice I had never heard before.

I got off at my usual bus stop and headed for the inn.

As I passed through the gate, my eyes met a woman who was standing on the porch.
