The high-legged swimsuit boom of the 1980s and 1990s.
In the 1980’s and 90’s, idols and campaign gals (a dead language) competed in wearing sharp triangle bikinis and one-piece dresses that gaped to the waist, gracing the pages of magazines and sports newspapers, dancing around in cathode ray tubes (a dead thing), and even ordinary women went to the pool and ocean in high-legged swimsuits.
It was the first time in history that a woman could wear a high-leg swimsuit to the pool or the beach.
It was the first time that a woman was wearing a swimsuit that was so extreme that it was almost as if she was not wearing any clothes at all.
In the United States, manufacturers such as BIKINIS and JELLY, and in Japan, DIPLO, became the top swimwear manufacturers.
But for some reason, when the global economy started to slow down, the area of swimwear became huge low leg.
Many manufacturers, including the largest BIKINIS, went bankrupt. Some manufacturers tried to survive by shifting to online shopping, which had begun to spread, but they disappeared from stores and TV screens.
And they are becoming relics of the past, so much so that they are compared to dinosaurs.
But now, its merits are being reevaluated! It’s more erotic than nudity, and it enhances the beauty of women.
Extreme bikinis or micro bikinis are making a comeback.
