Midsummer afternoon.
In a secret forest with a childhood friend.

Mio and I were always together.
We did bug catching, river swimming, and baseball together.

We went to [Eden] together last week.

Eden is a place that sits along the national highway.
It’s the only love hotel in our town.

Like almost every other couple in this city.
Like almost all couples in this city, Mio and I came to Eden to grow up.

But we didn’t grow up.
In the end, we came out of [Eden] without doing it.
It’s been ridiculously awkward ever since.

I decided to go to [Eden] again today.

Before that, we decided to stop by the mountain behind the school where we graduated.
